GSIA Educational Course 2010„Operational Excellence in the Pharmaceutical Industry“
Registration
Summary
Operational Excellence (OPEX) is a philosophy of leadership, teamwork and problem solving resulting in continuous improvement throughout an organization by focusing on the needs of the customer, empowering employees, and optimizing existing activities in the process. Its ultimate goal for the organization is to become a better enterprise. Many pharmaceutical companies believe they truly implemented OPEX. However, most are far away from meeting this goal. Shortcomings typically occur in
- Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
- Total Quality Management (TQM)
- Just in Time (JIT) development and supply chain management
- the application of these principles not only in production but also in development.
In the view of the GSIA it is an imperative for a conscientious associate working in one of the various disciplines of the Pharmaceutical Industry to understand the drivers for OPEX, how OPEX is implemented, how it can change our working environment and how it will shape and change the job profiles of the future. Moreover, GSIA believes that high motivation and competence of all associates is a prerequisite to foster the leading position of Switzerland in the pharmaceutical industry. Therefore, GSIA invites you all to join this year's educational course dedicated to OPEX. The organization is in cooperation with the Schuh Complexity Management Group AG , ms medical communication services and the University of St. Gallen . The course is split up into four afternoons. Each afternoon is comprehensively covering the respective topic. Thus, you are welcomed to select individual session, if you can't participate in all courses.
